Super Future Releases A New Powerhouse of a Single off of Chroma Records

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Nick Rowland has had a powerful 2017 filled with jaw dropping live performances and powerful singles spanning several genres of electronic music. Just as the year comes to a close it seems that Nick, or better known as Super Future, has saved his best for last.

Super Future’s new track is called ‘Prisms’ and it perfectly encapsulates Nick’s signature style. Heavy growls mixed with experimental percussion, all beautifully mixed in trap arrangements will give the listener an experience like they have never had before. Live instrumentation like guitar give the track a new depth as the tone of the song changes seamlessly as ‘Prisms’ develops over 3 decadent minutes.

Super Future is no stranger to success. In 2017 he shared the stage with the likes of  Zeds Dead, Herobust and What So Not, while also performing his captivating live show at underground events in the Midwest alongside the artist’s in his Samsara Family Collective based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

When asked about the track Nick explained how it was a culmination of many different techniques he has focused on over the last year, “‘Prisms’ is the perfect blend of many different styles I have been experimenting with in 2017. It has dark lows and euphoric highs, but the finished package deeply resonates with me as an artist”.

My inspiration for “Prisms” came from a few different places. The Super Future Logo itself is actually prismatic, because I’ve always loved the natural energy and phenomena that Prisms and pyramids embody. I️ tried to represent their metaphysical qualities the track musically, such as a harmony of bright and colorful guitar and synth chords. Yet, Prisms have a weird and mysterious quality to them too, that I chose to represent in a gritty & dynamic section that moves the listener in a completely different way. My favorite portion of the track however, has got to be the subtle but definitely audible vocal from the 1920’s in which an unknown scientist is explaining a prism’s most well-loved quality… their ability to turn a tiny beam of white light into a stunning arrangement of color.”

Super Future has huge plans for the coming year including tons of new music and live performances. It definitely not tongue in cheek to say that the future…is super.
